Hi, my name is Katte Johnston. I am married to Graham and we have a gorgeous wee girl, Emma-Katte. We live on a 3 acre lifestyle block in Sanson and share our lives with 13 sheep, 10 chickens, and a rabbit, a Labrador, a Jack Russell and Basil the cat. And soon we will be waking to the sounds of happy "oinks" in the side paddock when our new kune kune piglets arrive!

I started off my working life as a qualified veterinary nurse, working in Veterinary Clinics in New Zealand and Australia. For the past seven years I have worked as a territory manager for a global animal health pharmaceutical company.

Along with my husband, who is a musician and singer, I am heavily involved, as a performer, in musical theatre. My performing has given me the opportunity to meet some very interesting and diverse people and has taken me as far a field as South Korea.

Now with a four-year-old, and plans to expand the family, the decision was made to take on a new challenge which would enable me to spend more time with my family and be based more from home. Precious Memories is a fantastic opportunity that allows me to do just that and, at the same time, meet other mothers and create something for them that can truly be valued for a lifetime.

It is incredibly rewarding to hand-craft little ones sculptures and I look forward to creating that special keepsake for you.
